Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans

The departmental council is the number one sponsor of local motor racing and holds a 50% share in the consortium of local authorities it forms with the regional council, district council and the municipality of Le Mans to manage the infrastructure related to the circuit. The upkeep and modernisation of the circuit is undertaken thanks to the investments made to guarantee the safety and comfort of competitors and spectators.

A UNIQUE ASSET

The circuit is in use all year round. Sarthe takes centre stage in the world of motorsport. According to National Geographic, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the number one sporting event to attend, ahead of the football world cup, the Olympic games and the Superbowl.

The Grand Prix de France Moto held on the Bugatti circuit each spring is one of the best-attended motorcycling Grand Prix races in the world.
