Le Mans Sarthe Basket, MSB, our prominent basketball team
Following on from the SC Moderne, three-time winner of the French championship in the 70s and 80s, Le Mans Sarthe Basket was created in 1993 with the support of the departmental council and has since established itself as one of the best teams in French basketball, demonstrating exceptional consistency at the highest level. Beyond its participation in 22 Playoffs in 23 seasons, the MSB has played 16 finals in all national competitions since 2004, and won 8 trophies including its 5th French Championship title in 2018 after an extraordinary season.
