The greatest race in the world, the most prestigious, the most testing for men and machines, attracts more than 250,000 visitors every year! It's also a laboratory for innovation, where the world's leading manufacturers go head to head...
Sarthe, the cradle of motor sport and the scene of the first automobile Grand Prix in 1906, has been home to the superlative 24 Hours of Le Mans race since 1923.
Just outside the city of Le Mans, the famous endurance car race takes place on a 13.626 km long circuit. It has the particularity of being made up of a “permanent” part, the Bugatti asphalt circuit, and a “temporary” part on public departmental roads which are usually open to traffic and which are specially configured for the 24 Hours!
The race is renowned for its spectacular places where drivers push their speed to the limit, such as the Hunaudières straight, and for its strategic and technical bends: Porsche bends, Ford chicane, etc.
